Yin-Yang-Yin Workshops with Rebecca
Mar 7 @ 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

We can never be entirely static or in complete flux either on or off the mat – life moves us delicately as we observe our breath, bodies and minds in the longer holds of a Yin practice and spacious silence is always available even in the flux of Yang flow. I just love the combination and can’t wait to share this exploration of stillness and movement with you.

Please join me on Saturday 7th March and/or Saturday 11th April 9am – 12 noon for two Yin-Yang-Yin workshops in which we explore the pulse of life in the stillness of Yin and the possibility for quiet in the rhythm of Yang flow.

If you feel you’d only like 90 mins on a Saturday morning, you can come to either half of a workshop – although I would recommend the full experience!

Cost – if you already have pre-booked tickets, each workshop will use 2 of these OR drop-in £20 for 3 hours, £10 for 90mins

Opening the Heart Space with Krishna Premananda
Mar 8 @ 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

We’re so delighted that Krishna Premananda from Mandala Yoga Ashram will be returning to the River Room in March 2020 to share his deep, tender and subtle practice.

Please come XXX

The Heart Space is our centre of love, compassion, kindness and gratitude. It is where we reach out to Life and can feel a trust or a knowing that we are innately connected to the Whole. Yet the heart can easily be vulnerable or guarded. Furthermore, the refined energies of the heart can often be overshadowed by the dominant mind with its web of compulsive thinking and habitual patterns which sustain a limited self-image.

In this day seminar we will work with accessible practices – such as meditation, yoga nidra, asana, pranayama and mudra – to connect with and patiently open the heart. We will explore the nature of our emotional landscape and the defences we use to protect the heart. We will also focus on qualities such as self-empowerment, discernment, gratitude, generosity and compassion.

Open to all who are drawn to experiencing heart centred practices with the willingness to open and embrace the heart.

Cost £50 (not including lunch but hot drinks and snacks will be provided)

Please contact Rebecca@theriverroom.org.uk if you would like to book a place.

The session is free to those who are undertaking the autumn MBSR course. Others with experience of meditation and Mindfulness are invited to come along too and join us. Participants will be in silence themselves for much of the afternoon as a range of practices are shared and as such it isn’t framed for those who are completely new to Mindfulness and meditation. Sacred Feminine Workshop with Reva
Jun 7 @ 10:00 am – 5:00 pm

The Sacred Feminine

Sunday 7th June   10 am – 5 pm

This day for women offers a rare gift to share deeply with other women. We will explore the different phases of woman; maiden, mother and crone and our innate connection to the Goddess. As we disentangle ourselves from the social, cultural and religious expectations and assumptions that no longer serve us, we can step more fully into our authentic being. We will bring a deeper understanding to the menstrual or moon cycle, giving us the wisdom to navigate through our internal seasons consciously. Through simple yet profound practices we will awaken and reconnect to our womb space; the womb being our innate source of wisdom and power, the sacred vessel of creativity and life.

The day will include asana, chanting, mantra and yoga nidra (deep relaxation).

(This retreat is suitable for all women including those who have had a hysterectomy or who are post-menopausal).

Please bring own lunch, drinks and biscuits provided.

Cost: £50 and please contact rebecca@theriverroom.org.uk to book a place

It was so beautiful and intimate. It felt like coming home. I felt nourished by my sisters. I feel closer to Ma and am more confident that I am on the right path.’ Tea

Reva is a teacher and resident at Mandala Yoga Ashram in Wales. She is a registered British Wheel of Yoga teacher and an ayurvedic health advisor. She has a background as a psychotherapist and shamanic practitioner. She is particularly interested in the transformational potential of yoga and holistic health.
