Antifragility Program

Yoga has many practices and many different traditions. The Antifragility Yoga Program has techniques and practices from across the spectrum of yoga, aimed at enabling you to develop and deepen your practice.

Pranayama Course – The Ishana Breath Practice

These practices are aimed at learning about how to breathe and practicing techniques that enhance and expand breath capacity. Breathing is so vital to life – and as you enhance your breathing, you enhance your oxygen intake, you enhance your vitality. They also build and work with energy and focus of attention. I think of it as ‘consciousness enhancing‘. We work through patterns of preparatory pranayama practices, and classical practices.

Six 2 hour sessions – earlybird £120, then £145

Starting Sunday 13 May 2018, 1:45-3:45pm

River Room, Halton Mill

Meditation Course The Ishana Meditation Practice

These Ishana meditation practices are aimed at working with your head-space, with that awareness-perception-thinking knot, and your focus of attention. Ishana means ‘consciousness’. These practices lead to deepening relaxation, calmness and contentment, reduced stress, awareness of your own thinking, awareness of deepening stillness, awareness of your own perception.

There are many different meditation techniques. In the Ishana meditation we focus primarily on mantra (a selection of words or phrases) and japa (repetition of that mantra); and also on breath, attention to breath and listening (leading towards nada yoga). I think of it as ‘consciousness clarifying‘. If you think of consciousness as a fabric, these practices strengthen it and lead to proper function in the same way that asana strengthens and enhances the body.

Six 2 hour sessions – earlybird £60, then £75

Starting Sunday 13 May 2018, 4-5pm

River Room, Halton Mill
