Using yoga to build resilience: A Day with Mukti Mani
Life brings many challenges whether its in the form of demands at work, juggling at home or striving to meet our personal goals and aspirations. In recent years research has exploded around the idea of resilience. What means some people bounce back from challenges and thrive in uncertain or tough times – when others seem to find it harder to do this? The good news is research around neuroplasticity suggests this is something we can learn and develop – so join us for a day of exploration.
In this workshop there will be time to find out what resilience means, how we as individuals work with life challenges as well as learning simple tools and techniques to apply to daily life. The workshop will involve breath work, deep relaxation, gentle accessible movement practice, pair work and reflection. Participants will leave with their own personalised resilience plan.
The workshop is suitable for a range of bodies and different levels of experience – please contact me to discuss any specific concerns. 10% of profits after costs will be given to The Natural Resilience Project (https://www.naturalresilienceproject.com/
. Previous participants have included those that work in public sector roles including therapists and nurses, those with caring responsibilities, yoga teachers and someone expecting her first child.
