An afternoon of guided Mindfulness practice with a general theme of self care and self compassion. The intention is to offer guided practices that nourish and support us by undertaking guided sitting, walking, lying and gentle movement. The River Room is a lovely studio space which is fully equipped with cushions, mats etc. We will have a break mid afternoon when you will be invited to spend time next to the River Lune, cup of tea in hand – weather permitting!
The session is free to those who are undertaking the autumn MBSR course. Others with experience of meditation and Mindfulness are invited to come along too and join us. The afternoon would work well to support an individual with a current personal Mindfulness practice. Participants will be in silence themselves for much of the afternoon as a range of practices are shared and as such it isn’t framed for those who are completely new to Mindfulness and meditation.
