Ali Moorhouse
Hi! I’m Ali, Therapeutic Yoga and Yogalates Instructor. My mission is to provide empowering classes to improve strength and flexibility and help release stress in mind and body.
After completing the British Wheel of Yoga Foundation Course, I qualified in 2020 with Yoga Alliance Professionals and have since undertaken courses with Julie Martin at Brahmani Yoga and have embarked on additional teacher training with Beth Morgan at Yogalates London.
Having reaped the benefits of incorporating Pilates into my own personal practice (my lower back no longer aches and my knees have stopped twinging!), my classes are now mainly Yogalates as I have become so inspired by the highly effective integration of practices from the East and West and I cannot wait to share the joy of Yogalates with you!
Yogalates
My classes are progressive, to suit all levels, and often include blocks and therabands to support you and your unique body. Yogalates combines the most effective Yoga stretches, breathwork and mindfulness practices with Pilates core-strengthening, muscle toning and posture focused exercises to promote physical and mental wellbeing. A typical practice often includes dynamic yet therapeutic supine (on your back), side-lying, and prone (on your tummy) movements to improve strength and stability throughout your entire body and a standing Yoga flow. Yogic breathing techniques are an integral part of the practice, helping to rebalance the nervous system and relieve stress; calming the mind and aiding in the health of the whole body.
