I have worked in dance, movement and somatic practice for over 30 years, believing passionately in the creative and holistic health benefits that movement brings to individuals and their communities.


As a registered somatic movement educator and therapist with the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association (ISMETA), I offer professional supervision, mentorship and consultancy to independent practitioners and organisations.

Penny runs monthly Somatic workshops in the River Room.

Our busy lives can cause a build-up of bodily tension, which can manifest in physical and mental symptoms, including stiffness, strains, stress, anxiety, depression, sleep and concentration issues.

Relax, reconnect and reinvigorate at my next Somatic Movement workshop.

 Suitable for all levels of experience, whether you’re new or curious about Somatic Movement, are on your path to discovering its physical and mental benefits, or have lost time for yourself in the daily hustle and bustle.

 Come along and connect, relax and refresh body and mind through gentle movement, stretching and intentional breathing in a small, welcoming group.

Suitable for everyone, participate at your level of comfort and enjoyment, whether that’s seated stretches, standing movements, or floor-based relaxation. With the pleasure of group connection and support, there’s plenty of time for rest, refreshment, reflection and discussion, with guided assistance on movement if desired.
